In Rochester Public Schools, we empower families and educators to be partners in supporting student success and school improvement.

Family Engagement Meetings

We invite parents and caregivers to collaborate with us.

Several Family Engagement and Parent Advisory Councils meet at sites throughout the district on various schedules.

We welcome parents and caregivers to these conversations, so please contact Jennifer Spindler-Krage for more information.

Attend a Family Engagement Meeting

Join a Caregiver and Parent Empowerment Program (CAPE)

Our schools have a dedicated CAPE program that helps caregivers and parents learn about different areas of the Rochester Public School system, such as college and postsecondary planning, grade point average (GPA), financial aid, tools and resources for school, strategies to build support systems, and giving your student positive self-esteem. Participants also have a unique opportunity to learning from others' shared experiences. Come, ask questions, and learn.

This fall, join a CAPE program at:

  • Early Childhood Family Engagement

  • Churchill - Hoover Elementary School

  • Elton Hills Elementary School

  • Franklin Elementary School

  • Gage Elementary School

  • Overland Elementary School

  • Riverside Elementary School

  • Mayo High School
